What are the differences between Standard and Premium business card paper options?

Cardstock is measured in point size (pt) or mils, which is the thickness of the sheet in thousandths of an inch. The Standard Coated and Uncoated paper options are 12pt thick (0.012 inches). 12pt is more budget friendly and is easier to carry in bulk, fitting comfortably in wallets or cardholders. The Premium Silk Coated cards are printed on 14pt, while the Premium Coated and Uncoated cards are printed on 16pt stock. Both are more rigid than our 12pt cards, and they feel heavier and more premium, making a stronger statement about your brand.

What is the difference between Coated and Uncoated?

Coated paper is less porous and therefore, ink will sit on top of the paper creating a crisper image result. By comparison, uncoated paper is more porous and absorbs the ink. The result is a warmer, softer colour appearance.

Can I have a different sized business card?

Absolutely! A standard business card size is 3.5"×2" and a square business card is 2.5" x 2.5" but we can customize it to fit your needs. To request custom options, email art@crackerjackprinting.ca with your request and our team will be happy to assist you.

How can I design my business cards?

If you are an experienced designer or use professional software to create your own artwork, you can create your own design and submit it with your order.
